Offseason training at P2P available

Details:

Jan 6 - Mar 12 (Sat & Mon):  $250 for 20 sessions

 Curriculum/Progression:

·        Weeks 1-3 = Foundation/Fundamentals

·        Weeks 4-6 = Skill-Specific Training

·        Weeks 7-9 = Situational/Baseball IQ

·        Week 10 = Dry-Run of Tryouts

You will start at a given class time and progress through 3 areas every 30 mins until completion at 90 mins:

1.      Defense/Pitching

2.      Hitting

3.      Base Running/Conditioning

BTBA coaches will be in each area to assist and also develop their area skills with P2P

SCHEDULE:

Players will have Sat & Mon sessions available to sign up for each weel for a total of 20 sessions. 18 players/session max.

·        Saturday Sessions:  12:00-1:30 | 12:30-2:00 | 1:00-2:30 | 1:30-3:00 | 2:00-3:30 | 2:30-4:00

·        Monday Sessions:  5:30-7:00 | 6:00-7:30 | 6:30-8:00 | 7:00-8:30 | 7:30-9:00 | 8:00-9:30

2018 Tryouts to be held March 17 & 18, 2018

Please save the dates for 2018 tryouts.

BTBA's 2018 tryouts will be held the weekend of March 17 & 18, 2018.  While the location is still being finalized, the dates have not changed since previously posted.

We will post additional information in the upcoming weeks.

2018 MBL/MBT Approved Equipment

1. 2018 MBL/MBT Season Bat Rules: 

  • MBL will ONLY allow USA Baseball regulated bats (BBCOR) moving forward. You can find a listing of approved bats and other FAQ's by clicking here: https://usabat.com/
  • MBL has posted their position on their web site: https://www.mbl.bz/
  • The former "USSSA 1.15 BPF" rated bats will no longer be valid for MBL sponsored league and tournament games beginning in 2018.

Note: At this time, Gopher State (MYAS) will continue to use the old USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp (you may want to hang onto them for Gopher State tournaments).

  • Here are the 2018 MBL bat requirements:

9U-14U: All bats must have the new USA stamp (unless using a -3 BBCOR bat or wood bat). 
15’s can use a BBCOR bat or wood bat.

9-U, 10-U, 11-U, 12-U, and 13-U
Bats must be 2 1/4" with unlimited weight differential or;

bats up to 2 5/8" shall have a -11 differential or less (i.e. 31” – 20.0 oz.)

14-U - (14/15A)
Bats must be 2 5/8" with a -5 or less differential or a -3 BBCOR bat.

15-U
Bats must be 2 5/8” with a -3 or less differential and must be a BBCOR bat.

  

2. Shoes:

  • 9 - 12 year olds - will use molded cleats or tennis shoes. NO METAL SPIKES ALLOWED!
  • 13-15 year olds - will be allowed to use metal spikes
