Metro Baseball League (MBL) rule change Decisions

Metro Baseball League has made decisions regarding future changes to the age cutoff date and bat ratings:

As a reminder, BTBA’s governing league, the Metro Baseball League (MBL) is independent and does NOT follow Little League Baseball.

1. Age Cutoff Date - MBL will NOT change the existing April 30 age cutoff date in either 2017 or 2018. The 2019 season and beyond will be re-evaluated at a later date.

2. Bat Ratings - MBL WILL adopt USA baseball bat rule change to use BBCOR rated bats beginning in 2018. These bats will be available in stores beginning Sep 1, 2017. The existing USSSA 1.15 BPF rated bats will no longer be valid after the 2017 Fall ball season.
