2015 Jaguar Baseball Clinic

Coach Jim Gess (Head Coach Bloomington Jefferson) is holding a hitting clinic on Sunday March 15th at JAC from 12-3. The fee is $50 per child.

Eligibility to play BTBA

Must either live in the City of Bloomington OR attend a Bloomington public school. No exceptions will be made.

FREE Winter Workouts at JAC and KAC

FREE Winter Workouts & Skill Development Clinics

Sunday night pitching, hitting and fielding skills development clinics for all Bloomington baseball players, age 8 years and older.

 

Where:     Jefferson Athletic Center (JAC): 7:30 - 8:45 pm 

               and Kennedy Athletic Center (KAC): 7:00 - 8:15 pm 

 

When:    January 4, 11, 18, 25

              February 8, 15, 22 

              March 1, 8, 15

 

PLEASE NOTE NEW TIMES FOR KAC / KENNEDY:

1/4: 6PM - 7:30 Ages 8-13, 7:30 -9 Ages 14-18

1/11: 7PM - 8:30 & 8:30 - 10PM

1/18: 6:30 - 8PM & 8 - 9:30PM

1/25: 7 - 8:30 & 8:30 - 10PM

2/1: NO WORKOUTS

2/8: 6-7:30 & 7:30 - 9PM

2/15: 6-7:30 & 7:30 - 9PM

2015 Player Fees

The cost to play BTBA in 2015 will be $485 per player. The following is a break down of where your 2015 fee goes (based off 2014 actual costs):

 

Team expenses per player (Uniforms, equipment, league fees, tournament fees, game changers space) $332.24

Field Maintenance per player 2014 $139.30

Misc. Costs (winter workouts, board expenses, marketing materials, website) $27.40

 

Total per player $498.94

 

NEW BTBA 2015 FEE $485.00

ALSO NOTE: BTBA pays PayPal roughly $12 per registration (not included in the fees above)...if possible please pay your 2015 BTBA fee by check...it is GREATLY APPRECIATED!  

 

The main purpose for this new fee is to collect tournament fees up front vs. in June.

BTBA ONLY WORKOUT SPACE

BTBA has secured additional workout space for all BTBA players (this cost will be added to player registration fee so use the space).

 

This space is at Game Changers, 1401 W. 94th Street in Bloomington (by 35W & 94th St.). BTBA Players will have this space from January through April 2015.

 

Days / Hours: Mondays 6-8 PM, Thursdays 7-9 PM, Saturdays 4-9PM

 

Players can use cages 1,2,3,5,6 and the turf area.

 

PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF ALL PLAYERS AND THE FACILITY. ANY DAMAGE WILL BE ASSESSED TO THE PLAYER / FAMILY. PLEASE SHARE THIS SPACE, ANY MONOPOLIZING OF ANY AREA WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF FACILITY USE. 

 

NO TEAM WORKOUTS!!! THIS WILL BE STRONGLY ENFORCED. PERSPECTIVE COACHES WILL FORFEIT APPLICATIONS FROM COACHING.

 

Once again, this space is in addition to Winter workouts @ JAC & KAC and this space IS BTBA PLAYERS ONLY. There will be badges for players to pick up at their first time at the facility. Players must show this badge to use the space.

2015 Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2015 BTBA season will occur Thursday March 19th, Friday March 20th, and Sunday March 22nd. Individual age groups will be posted later. Thursday and Friday will be from 6-10PM, Sunday 8AM-6PM.

 

Please note these tryouts will be for the 2nd - 8th grade teams.

 

Tryouts for 9th, and 10th grade will be after the high school season ends.

2015 Bat Regulations

For the 2015 MBL/MBT Season the Bat Rules will remain the same as 2014 except the new 10-U bat rules for MBL/MBT are:

Bats must be 2 1/4" with unlimited weight differential or bats must be between 2 1/2" and 2 3/4"and have a–10 differential or less (i.e. 30” – 20.0 oz.)

 

For the 2015 MBL/MBT season all bats in the 10 – 14 year old age group, big barrel bats must have the NEW USSSA Approved 1.15 BPF stamp on its taper, Babe Ruth Approved 1.15 BPF stamp or BBCOR stamp. For small barrel bats (2 1/4"), 10 - 13 year olds use all of the above stamps or you can also use bats that have the old approved USSSA 1.15 mark or it can have any 1.15 stamp on the bat. 15 year olds must use a BBCOR bat (Batted Ball Coefficient or Restitution).
